It would likely take at least two first-round picks (and a supermodel with a pepperoni pizza?) to pry Odell Beckham Jr. away from the New York Giants, but the Los Angeles Rams are rumored to be considering it.
If that’s actually the case, it sounds like running back Todd Gurley is all for it and believes that quarterback Jared Goff would welcome OBJ to LA as well.
“That’s my boy. If we had him, man, it would be awesome,” Gurley told the LA Times. “I’d be happy, Goff will be happy, coach McVay will be happy, [owner Stan] Kroenke, the whole team would be.”
On the other end of the equation, Beckham would also reportedly be in favor of the move.
In the New York Daily News, Gary Myers posed the question, “Does Beckham want to play for the Rams?”
His answer: “One source told me Beckham has told a couple of Rams players he wants in. He does love New York, so his feeling for the Rams could quite possibly be only if the Giants trade him. The Rams are going to want to get him signed to a long-term extension to avoid playing the franchise tag game with him in 2019 and 2020 after he plays for the $8.4 million fifth-year option.”
