Though he has yet to find out what the legal system will do to him, Mychal Kendricks has been suspended indefinitely by the NFL after he pleaded guilty last month to federal insider trading charges.
The 28-year-old could be facing up to 37 months in prison but is not scheduled to be sentenced until January 24.
Kendricks, who won the Super Bowl with the Eagles and played for the Cleveland Browns earlier this season, played for the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.
While playing for the Seahawks, Kendricks recorded 15 tackles and a pair of sacks in three games.
“I think he’s really a good ballplayer,” Seattle coach Pete Carroll said Monday. “Gosh, he’s instinctive and fast and tough and smart and he’s got a good attitude. He’s got a good toughness about him that, if something’s not going right, he’s determined to fix it and get it right. He’s got a real good sense about him. I think he’s really good. We’ll miss him if he doesn’t get to play with us but while we have him, we’re going to continue to work him.”
Though he did not receive a signing bonus, Kendricks is signed to a one-year deal worth $743,529.
