As anyone who watched them play last year knows, the Bengals, Browns and Redskins are three of the worst-prepared teams in the National Football League.
And it turns out their lack of preparation extends beyond the football field as those three clubs were also named as the worst-prepared teams during contract negotiations by a USA Today poll of more than two dozen NFL agents.
Given his team’s reputation for a lack of preparedness, it’s no surprise Redskins president Bruce Allen was named as the least-trusted decision-maker in the NFL followed by Dolphins executive VP of football operations Mike Tannenbaum, Broncos GM John Elway and Bengals owner Mike Brown.
On the other side of the ledger, Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome was voted the league’s most-respected decision-makers followed by Patriots coach Bill Belichick, Seahawks GM John Schneider and Colts GM Chris Ballard, Steelers GM Kevin Colbert and Rams GM Les Snead in a tie.
To complete the poll, the 49ers were named as the best-prepared team during negotiations followed by the Eagles, Patriots, Broncos and Packers.
