In a lawsuit filed in Georgia regarding a July home invasion outside Atlanta, LeSean McCoy’s ex-girlfriend alleges the Buffalo Bills running back would “often brutally beat his dog,” and also “aggressively, physically discipline and beat his young son.”
In her suit, Delicia Cordon also alleges McCoy was at fault for the invasion at his home – which left Cordon badly beaten and in need of hospital care – because he installed a security system and did not give her the ability to arm it.
While the suit doesn’t blame McCoy for what happened, it does say he “permitted a hazardous condition to exist” and had failed in his duty to protect the residents of the home he owns.
The suit, which also names McCoy’s personal assistant Tamarcus Porter, alleges the defendants are liable for assault, battery and emotional distress inflicted upon her.
McCoy has yet to comment on the suit but has always maintained his innocence in the matter and a police investigation still has not identified, or named him as, a suspect.
The Bills have allowed him to practice while the legal process plays out and the NFL is also conducting its own investigation into the situation to see if McCoy should be suspended.
