After taking his talents from the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Los Angeles Lakers earlier this summer, LeBron James is making another move.
In this one, the NBA star is jumping from HBO to Showtime.
Following the debut of his edgy show “The Shop” on HBO on Sunday, the trailer for the new program that James will have on Showtime, “Shut Up and Dribble,” was released this week.
The new show, which cheekily takes its name from an insult Fox News’ Laura Ingraham lobbed at James for “talking politics,” will hit airwaves in October and focus on the way former and current NBA players have used their outsized public platform to aid social justice issues.
Interestingly enough, departing ESPN personality Jemele Hill appears in the trailer. “Sports has been a place for social and political movements, it always has been,” she says.
