It’s a shot you dream of: a 3-pointer in the last minute of an NBA Finals game to seal the win.
For the second straight year against the Cavaliers, Kevin Durant took, and made, that shot.
With Golden State holding a three-point lead last night, 103–100, Durant had the ball on the left wing with the shot clock ticking down and pulled up for a 33-footer. And just like last year, it was nothing but net.

Durant’s clutch shot cemented Golden State’s 110–102 victory and put them up 3-0 in the NBA Finals with Game 4 to be played in Cleveland. Last year, Cleveland managed to win Game 4 before losing the next game—and the Finals—in Golden State.
If Durant plays like he did last night—43 points, 13 points, seven assists, 65 percent shooting—the Cavaliers probably won’t even manage the gentleman’s sweep, despite how well LeBron James has been playing. (He had a triple-double with 33 points, 10 boards and 11 assists.)
“It’s almost like playing the Patriots,” James said. “You can’t have mistakes. They’re not going to beat themselves. You know, so when you’re able to either force a miscue on them, you have to be able to capitalize and you have to be so in tuned and razor sharp and focused every single possession. You can’t have miscommunication, you can’t have flaws … because they’re going to make you pay.”
Game 4 is Friday night. If Golden State wins, it’ll be their third NBA championship in four years.
