During the first week of July each year, Americans celebrate a very important anniversary.
We’re speaking, of course, of National Bikini Day.
Celebrated on July 5th, the Bikini Day marks the anniversary of French fashion designer revealing the two-piece suit at the Piscine Molitor swimming pool in Paris in 1946. To commemorate the big day this year, Style 365 commissioned a study of 2,000 women to find out who they thought were the three hottest bikini wearers in history.
The results are in and, even though it’s no longer Bikini Day, it’s our duty to share them with you.
Better late than never.

1. Raquel Welch
The doe-skin number Welch wore in One Million Years BC was dubbed “mankind's first bikini" and called a "definitive look of the 1960s.” Groovy.
2. Ursula Andress
If you haven’t seen her classic white bikini from Dr. No, get yourself to Netflix, Hulu or Amazon Video immediately. Hell, go to a Blockbuster if you have to.

3. Marilyn Monroe
Monroe’s classic curves and willingness to flaunt them vaulted her to third on the list, ahead of other finalists like Kelly Brook, Michelle Keegan, Beyoncé and Jennifer Lopez.
