If you live in New York City and don’t know how to order a “slice,” you might as well move back to the place from which you came.

Because in the Big Apple, pizza is the official food; said slice may be dripping with grease and burn the roof of your mouth, but its a culintary experience that can’t be matched anywhere else in the world.

And now, as Bloomberg reports, there’s a new pie in town—and it may be heresy to admit, but this pizza may win over even the most jaded of New Yorkers.

Matthew Hyland, the pizza chef behind Brooklyn hotspots Pizza Loves Emily and Emmy Squared, is bringing his show to the Big Island. Along with wife Emily, he’s opening up a second Pizza Loves Emily in Greenwich Village at the site of the old Blue Ribbon Bakery, using the same 18-foot wide oven that’s been churning out delicacies for years already (it dates back to the late-19th, early-20th century). The new restaurant opens June 7.

But what makes this Manhattan-disrupting pizza special? There will be two styles: round, 12-inch wood-oven-baked pizzas that are nods to the classic NYC-style pies; and the convection-oven-baked rectangular style, which gets its inspiration from Detroit-style pizza.

Yes, Detroit-style.

Luckily, if you’re not a pizza fanatic, the new restaurant also includes burgers, sandwiches, and yes, a full bar.
