It’s estimated a superyacht spends $400,000 per year on gas. Duffy London has a concept that aims to cut that expense way down. The Solaris Global Cruiser will boast the latest solar and battery technology, all in the service of the goal of creating a luxury yacht that will never need to be refueled.

Obviously, sailing yachts have long been able to reduce the fuel bills, but they’re at the mercy of the wind and the weather. That’s why the Solaris utilizes state of the art manufacturing to create a light (but sturdy) hull, shell, and interior, minimizing the energy needed to power it.

The boat has five cabins that can fit up to 10 guests and seven crew. Outside the cabins, all passengers have plenty of room to relax, as it boasts outdoor decks on both the lower and upper level. The Solaris Global Cruiser sells for £25 million (just over $30 million). For more on the Solaris, click here.
