Last year saw a pair of drummers engaged in a very public — and very friendly — feud over whose skills were more prodidgious. In one corner was Dave Grohl; in the other, Nandi Bushell, 10 years old at the time and based in the United Kingdom. Over the course of several months, the two embarked on a friendly rivalry, leading ultimately to Grohl admitting that Bushell was the better drummer.

Turns out the saga wasn’t quite over at that point. Earlier this week, Bushell joined the Foo Fighters onstage at the Forum. Loudwire reports that the young drummer joined with the group to play “Everlong.” Bushell’s arrival on the stage came to rapturous applause, and her performance in front of an arena-sized crowd served as an additional reminder of one essential fact: she’s a heck of a drummer.

Bushell posted a look at her stint with the band to Instagram, and added the cryptic teaser “MORE TO COME!!!” Whether that means more work with the band or simply more videos from the concert remains to be seen. Given that Grohl has written a theme song for Bushell — and the fact that he’s not averse to supergroups — could this be the start of something new? We’ll have to stay tuned for that.
