You can find a lot of things on Craigslist — a job, a new apartment, and if you’ve got an extra $2.5 million lying around, your very own Chicago brewery.

As the Chicago Tribune points out, Argus Brewery, which shut down in late March, is for sale on Craigslist. The listing was posted in late May but only recently began circulating on social media, and it points to the brewery’s historic location as a selling point.

“9700 +/- Sq. Ft. Landmark building in historic Pullman District,” it reads. “Originally built as the Joseph E. Schlitz Distribution Stables, where beer was distributed by horse draw wagons and sold in lard-lined buckets in one of the nation’s first planned industrial communities. Formerly Argus Brewing, producing beer that has won awards from the GABF, World Beer Cup and World Beer Championships.” The building also includes a large freight elevator with an original motor designed by Nikola Tesla, which the ad notes “still works!”

That $2.5 million asking price will get you the 9,700-square-foot building in Chicago’s Roseland neighborhood, as well as all remaining brewing equipment, furniture, Argus’s intellectual properties and a delivery vehicle. You’ll have to act quickly, however: brewery founder Bob Jensen told the Tribune that he’s had interest from two current Chicago-area breweries as well as three different people looking to get into the beer business.
