The Official ‘Star Trek’ Bourbon No One Asked for Has Arrived

There’s always ‘space’ for a new whiskey, we guess

More like Jim Beam me up, Scotty, amirite?

Boldly going where no distiller has gone before (last one, we promise), there will soon be a James T. Kirk Straight Bourbon Whiskey on the shelves.

An officially licensed Star Trek product — and one of several ST-sanctioned spirits arriving soon from Silver Screen Bottling Company — the JTK is “selected from choice barrels aged between 4 and 12 years” and exhibiting notes of “caramel, Asian 5 spice and pecan.” The spirit celebrates the late Captain’s “bold spirit of adventure,” as the bourbon’s rather straightforward bio suggests.

Side note: In the series, Kirk seemed more like a Scotch man.

The bourbon debuts at San Diego Comic-Con in July and is available for preorder here.
