OK, this would be worth surge pricing.
Netflix just released a trailer for GLOW, a wrestling drama-comedy based around the real-life exploits of the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling circa the 1980s.
Starring Alison Brie — the Community actress who is also (fact) a national treasure — as struggling actress Ruth Wilder, the show follows her as she finds herself with several other unconventional women and a failed director (Marc Maron), trying to carve out a niche in the macho world of pro wrestling.
Sparkly costumes, copious drug use and poofy ’80s haircuts ensue.
GLOW begins June 23.
Oh, and if you haven’t heard about Netflix’s reported surge pricing — don’t sweat it. Probably not a thing.
