Late night comedian John Oliver opened his segment on Sunday by addressing Wednesday’s mass shooting at a high school in Parkland, Florida, that left 17 dead and more than a dozen injured. An impassioned Oliver told viewers that, while initial responses from both sides were predictable, this shooting is different because the kids from the high school are demanding legislative change.
