James Franco Denies Sexual Misconduct Claims on ‘Late Show’

During an appearance on Stephen Colbert’s Late Show Tuesday night, actor James Franco was asked to address recent allegations of sexual misconduct that have become public since Franco wore a “Time’s Up” pin in support of the “Me Too” movement at the Golden Globes on Sunday.

“The things I heard on Twitter are not accurate,” Franco said. “If there’s restitution to be made, I will make it…I’m here to listen and learn and change my perspective where it’s off.”

Multiple women, including actresses Violet Paley and Ally Sheedy, came forward this week to accuse Franco of acting inappropriately toward them.

This isn’t the first time that Franco has been accused, either; in 2014, a teenage tourist from Scotland posted damning screenshots of the actor propositioning her days before her 18th birthday to join him in a hotel room and instructing her not to tell anyone from home.

Because of the allegations, the New York Times has canceled a panel event meant to take place Wednesday night, the Huffington Post reports. Take a look at the interview with Colbert below.
