According to his publicist Juda Englemayer, disgraced former producer and convicted rapist Harvey Weinstein was injured at Rikers Island after falling sometime Sunday (March 8) morning.
Englemayer told CNN that while there’s no official word on the extent of his injuries, Weinstein reportedly felt dizzy before falling. “Harvey says his head throbs all the time and thinks he has a concussion. He has not been officially diagnosed,” she said.
The publicist also noted that she had spoken to Weinstein by phone and he “had a lot of time to think about his life and what he’s done.” “He said he wasn’t a nice guy and that’s how he got here,” she added. (Spoiler alert: it was actually because of all the raping.)
Weinstein, 67, was convicted of criminal sexual assault in the first degree and rape in the third degree on Feb. 24. He is due to be sentenced in New York State Supreme Court on Wednesday (March 11), and he faces a minimum of five years and a maximum of 25 years in prison.
The sex criminal faced criticism for using a walker during his trial in what some saw as an attempt to drum up sympathy. According to Englemayer, Weinstein doesn’t walk steadily but does not have a walker in jail. He was moved to the infirmary at Rikers Island on Thursday.
Watching Harvey Weinstein walk upright when he was escorted out of court but hunched over with his old man walker makes me wonder why he was never cast in any of his films?
Lock him up and throw away the key.
