Three women have shared their stories of being sexual abused by Dustin Hoffman with Variety. These new accusations bring the number of women whom Hoffman has allegedly assaulted or harassed to six. The new allegations include Hoffman exposing himself to a then-16-year-old friend of his daughter in 1980, and two separate accounts of sexual assault on the set of 1987’s Ishtar. In both cases on the Ishtar set, Hoffman assaulted the women in public while trying to conceal it from onlookers. Hoffman’s representatives have not responded to the new allegations, though his attorney Mark A. Neubauer wrote to Variety’s parent company, describing the accusations as “defamatory falsehoods.” The pattern that emerges between these new allegations and those from earlier this year shows Hoffman regularly abusing women on movie and stage sets, places where he had particularly significant power.
