An interview between James Comey and George Stephanopoulos is set to air Sunday at 10 p.m. A source present at the taping of the interview says that the 20/20 special will “shock the president and his team.” According to the source, Comey’s comments are bound to generate more headlines about the president and will add “more meat to the charges swirling around Trump,” reports Axios. This is the former FBI director’s first interview since being fired by Trump last May. In an ABC promo, Stephanopoulos says Comey compared Trump to a mob boss.
The source said that the interview left everyone in the room stunned because Comey told Stephanopoulos things he had never said before. Comey answered every question asked.
Comey’s book, A Higher Loyalty, comes out next Tuesday.
