As the war between personal injury attorney partners and billboard co-stars Cellino and Barnes wages on, court documents have revealed that the firm is in fact turning record profits amid the hostilities. Cellino & Barnes reportedly made $106 million in revenue during the first six months of 2018 alone, and each partner has been walking away with $1 million each month.
The duo made famous by their ubiquitous signage and “Don’t wait, call 8” advertisements are battling over Ross Cellino’s efforts to break-up the firm. Cellino has argued that the two partners disagree stridently on topics like client interest and the billboards, and that both lawyers could make more money on their own. Stephen Barnes, on the other hand, has requested that a judge force Cellino to continue in his role with the firm until an appeals court rules on whether the partnership should stand.
The legal battle has a lot to do with the firm’s 1-800 number, which Cellino and Barnes originally bought for $1.7 million.
