The Castello di Sammezzano in Tuscany, Italy, was built in the early 17th century by Spanish nobles before being converted into a hotel-restaurant. But after the hotel business closed in the 1990s, the castle has been left empty and amazingly, still retains its appearance after it was refurbished in 1889. It is now up for auction to the highest bidder, with some concerned that the castle will be turned into a luxury spa hotel. Take a look at these photos of it before it changes hands.
