Naked People Covered in Honey

It’s a thing. It’s artsy. It’s on view now.

Because you don’t have time to find your horizons (let alone broaden them), we give you Culture Samples: our essential monthly guide to gallery shows and openings that every man should see.

So this all started out as a lark.

Blake Little — a bearded cherub if there ever was one — was taking photos, in his studio, of a bearish fellow.

And he thought: the guy’s a bear, why don’t I just give him some honey.

And out of that clichéd thought came some of the most striking photographs you’re likely to see this year: naked people, covered in honey.

Little’s pics are on view now, and his show is one of six we recommend you check out in the next few weeks.

Also on the way:

  • A retrospective of one of America’s seminal pop artists

  • Erotic oil paintings done in the style of the Old Masters

  • A hand-carved wooden shopping cart

And since we’d never send you out to galleries unprepared, we’ll also give you a few tips on negotiating a purchase.

Have a look.
