Slippers. Very Awesome Slippers.

You're welcome.

By The Editors

Take heart, frozen brethren! These arctic doldrums cannot last forever.

Soon enough, temps will rise and we’ll pack away our salt-stained boots for more festive, warm-weather attire.

Translation: you’ll be needing some new spring kicks.

Like these, from Swedish concern Axel Arigato, which we highly recommend and which are now available online.

Vanilla they are not: AA specializes in the type of attention-grabbing footwear that our Style Director refers to as “varsity shoe game.”

And as a man is oft-judged by such metrics, may we suggest that you make any (or all, if possible) of the following upgrades to your collection:

The Sneaker

Not that we have a problem with the classics, but breaking out a pair of sneaks in, say, alligator-embossed leather is a solid move. Left-of-center enough to get looks (and compliments), not so left so that you’re self-conscious every time you put ‘em on.

The Loafer

Tassel loafers are a seasonal staple, and AA’s take in flannel camo will carry you through paired with everything from Bermuda shorts to linen suits. Feeling especially adventurous? Go for pony hair.

The Espadrille

“Another criminally overlooked shoe style,” says our Style Director. “Stands out even in a simple, understated colorway like tan.”

The Slipper

For the dandies? Most certainly. Shortest path to “Wow, awesome shoes!” if done right? Indeed.
