One photographer actually went down the rabbit hole—and found an incredible piece of history on the other side.

According to The Shropshire Star, Michael Scott uncovered what is thought to be a 700-year-old underground lair used by the Knights Templar, a Christian military order and secret society closely connected to the Crusades. The discovery was made near Shropshire, England, and the series of caves were found three feet below ground in a farmer’s field.
