Each week, our inbox runneth over with news of gear, apparel and tech releases from around the world. In this feature, we’ll parse through the best of them. Today: A Noah collab with Batman, Parachute Turkish towels and the Bernie Sanders meme on a sweatshirt.

British Airways x Globe-TrotterBOAC Speedbird

They’re only making 150 of these carry-on suitcases, created to mark the retirement of British Airways 747. Besides some shared design elements, the airplane homage here is literal: each case holds a fragment of that actual aircraft in the interior lid.

Parachute

Parachute Soft Rib Towels

Soften the blow of having to step out of a warm shower into the brutal cold air with Parachute’s new Soft Rib towel collection. Made from 100% long-staple Turkish cotton that’s ultra-plush and absorbent, the towels feature a sculpted rib design that will not only make for a handsome addition to your bathroom but help you dry that much faster. Take your pick from three hues — classic white, a muted gray or a modern terracotta for the slightest touch of color.

Todd Snyder

Todd Snyder x Brooklyn Circus

Channel your inner Muhammad Ali thanks to Todd Snyder’s newest collaboration with Brooklyn Circus, a Brooklyn-born and based men’s boutique. Snyder worked directly with Brooklyn Circus designer Ouigi Theodore to create a collection of Champion sweaters, varsity jackets, cardigans and more, all paying homage to the sport of boxing. The two designers gleaned inspiration for the collection from an image of Muhammad Ali at “Fighter’s Heaven,” the boxer’s training camp in Deer Lake, Pennsylvania, in which he’s wearing a sweatshirt. The result is an empowering collection that would look just as good in the ring as it would out.

Kensington

Kensington StudioDock

Finally, your iPad can pull double duty on your desktop with a minimal fuss. This docking station for the iPad Pro and iPad Air allows you to magnetically attach your Apple tablet in portrait or landscape mode. It’ll also charge your device (and, via a wireless pad, your earbuds and phone as well) and features plenty of ports for attaching keyboards, mice and other peripherals.

Huckberry

Huckberry x GoRuck Slick GR1 Backpacks

How do you up the ante when you’re a bag company founded by a duo from the Special Forces and CIA, one that has built up both a cult following and its own workout regimen? You partner with Huckberry, break out a backpack from the archives, update it and release it as a limited-edition. If you’re in the market for an American-made travel, adventure or everyday bag with military cred, these will do nicely.

Banana Republic

Banana Republic BR Standard Line

At the intersection of the new relaxed work wardrobe, the return to men’s basics (think Alex Mill and Everlane), and the athleisure takeover lies BR Standard, a brand new line from Banana Republic. What does BR Standard stand for? They’re describing it as “a new sport-inspired collection of men’s and women’s contemporary lifestyle essentials.” We’re talking everything from your moisture-wicking tees and tanks to blazers with zip pockets in the sleeves and suit pants they want you to pair with a hoodie.

Bar Reserve

SelvaRey

Why didn’t Bruno Mars call his new rum Uptown Funk? (Or “Finesse”? Well, at least it wasn’t “Chunky.”) Anyway, the singer’s new Owners Reserve premium rum release sold out in just hours on ReserveBar, but keep checking back to see if this Panamanian spirit, which features rums aged between fifteen and twenty-five years, comes back in stock (we heard rumors of a waitlist, though we haven’t seen one yet). If the $150 price tag is too high, the brand also offers both a white and a chocolate-flavored rum for under $35.

Todd Snyder

Todd Snyder x New Era British Millerain Caps

You can’t talk about waxed jackets without British Millerain, a pioneer of the waterproof fabric that continues to be a torchbearer to this day, after 140 years in business. Their textiles have been used by everyone from J.Crew to L.L.Bean, and they’re currently being used by Todd Snyder. Except these obviously aren’t jackets. Yes, ol’ Todd is continuing his New Era partnership by offering three Staywax Yankees caps. Is it unexpected? Yes. Does it work? You tell us.

J.Crew

J.Crew x New Balance 1400 Sneaker

This is not just another J.Crew-New Balance collab. It harkens back to the first sneaker the two brands collaborated on (which used the 1400 as a base), and offers a style your collection is probably missing: suede colorblocking.

Noah

Noah x Batman

For their first collaboration of 2021, Noah sought to collaborate with none other than the legend that is Batman. What might seem like an unlikely and random collab actually makes sense when you consider the longstanding relationship between skateboarding and the superhero, particularly Batman T-shirts, which skate icon Steve Caballero helped to make popular in the mid-80s. Why Batman was chosen as the designated superhero of the skating community, whether it was a deliberate choice or just by chance, no one really knows, but now Noah’s paying tribute to the iconic logo and the comic’s continued popularity in skateboarding with a range of tees, sweats and even a harrington jacket featuring the classic Batman logo. Na na na na na na na na na … Batman!

Filson

Filson x Popeye Collection

Filson partnering with Ford Bronco and Smokey Bear? That makes perfect sense to us. Filson teaming up with Popeye, the spinach-addicted sailor with a forearm condition? We can’t say we saw that coming, but we’re not mad about it, either. The limited-edition drop features three T-shirts, a hoodie, pins and pint glasses, as well as a nice looking wool cap.

Bernie Sanders

Chairman Sanders Crewneck

We’re sure you’ve seen dozens if not hundreds of Bernie Sanders memes featuring the Senator’s now-viral inauguration pose superimposed on subway trains, park benches and more across your social feeds. In a smart move, Sanders’ official campaign store took the widely shared image and slapped it on a 100 percent organic cotton unisex crewneck sweatshirt you can now purchase for $45.

Greats

Greats Royale Eco Leather

Greats found huge success in simplicity: making a clean, classic, unimpeachable white leather sneaker. Except now, in 2021, people are collectively waking up to the fact that even simple products like that can have huge negative environmental impacts. So they designed the Royale Eco Leather, available in white and black, which is made from recycled leather and fibers, as well as algae, but promises to be just as good, if not better, than their standard sneaks.
