Timex Q Bracelet Watch
It’s no secret that the Timex and Todd Snyder collaborations are some of our favorite affordable timepieces. And it’s no secret that every time Timex releases a new variation on their diver-inspired Q Timex (first issued in 1979), it sells out fast. So if you like the style, we’d suggest you very quickly pick up the new Timex Q Bracelet Watch, an exclusive collaboration with Todd Snyder. It’s a 38mm reissue/reimagining of a 1970s original, though the new version has a cleaner, “more sophisticated” (yet also vintage-styled) strap. You’re getting: Quartz movement, a diver-inspired rotating top ring, stainless steel case and case with clasp closure, luminant hands and 50m of water resistance.
adidas SPEZIAL SS20 collection
For adidas’s Spezial Spring/Sumer 2020 return, the inspiration for their apparel, footwear and accessories was gleaned from the look and storied history of British Soul. In keeping with the brand’s dedication creating/re-creating previously released products from the brand’s archives, many of the pieces from the new collection are updated versions of previously seen styles. The final products are the iconic adidas tracksuit yet rendered in a looser fitting silhouette inspired by the Forest Gate style of 2017, anoraks in dark, moody blue hues and sneakers inspired by the brand’s very first collection.
Vans x No-Comply x Daniel Johnston
Austin, Texas-based skate shop No-Comply is celebrating 13 years with the release of their second exclusive Vans shoe collection in collaboration with the Hi, How Are You Project. The capsule includes a white canvas Vans Slip-On Pro featuring an all-over black marker-printed collage of Daniel Johnson’s artwork with burnt orange details, as well as grey suede Old Skools and Authentic Pros, both featuring a printed marshmallow canvas and more Johnston artwork. There are also tees, a canvas hat and a tote bag. Unfortunately the collection will only be available for sale at No-Comply Skateshop in Austin, but we’re sure you can find some high-priced resales soon.
Apple Watch Bands
Seafoam. Vitamin C. Cactus. Grapefruit. You might think these are summer drinks, but they’re actually the names of the colorful new Apple Watch bands. Made from a “custom high-performance fluoroelastomer,” these pin-and-tuck closures may pop enough to distract you from the tech on the back of your wrist. Available for the 40mm and 44mm models.
Aether Apparel Dalton Sneaker
As a brand, releasing your first sneaker is a tricky business. Who cares about some no-name shoe when we’ve got hundreds of time-tested classics to choose from? That didn’t stop outdoor brand Aether from taking a crack at it, and what they’ve come up with the Dalton is worth your consideration: an Italian and Japanese leather high-top that packs in D30 tech cribbed from the company’s motorcycle gear. Shock-absorbing power? You’ve got it.
Takashi Murakami Limited Edition Black Lives Matter Prints
In support of and inspired by the Black Lives Matter movement, Japanese artist Takashi Murakami has taken his typically multicolored drawings of his iconic flower and skull drawings and rendered them entirely in black spray paint. Only 300 limited editions of the different six prints will be available for purchase through the NTWRK app, with all proceeds from the sales being split amongst Black Lives Matter, Equal Justice Initiative and Color of Change, with sales expected to exceed $1 million.
Revival Rugs The Furniture Edit
Revival Rugs just released a small furniture collection of “sculptural, simple pieces in which form and materials harmonize.” Partially designed by Turkish designer Gizem Yucethat, the collection includes mushroom-like lamps, an earthy, near black ceramic round table, a solid oak and tan leather camp chair, a slim study desk, elegant dining room chairs and a trio of handwoven baskets.
Nike Blue Ribbon Sports Running Collection
Nike recently dropped a running collection called “Blue Ribbon Sports,” featuring an interlocking “BRS” logo throughout, designed to look like the lanes of a track, along with the phrases “Blue Ribbon Sports Track Club,” and “Est. 1964.” Nike doubled down on nostalgia, making everything red, white and blue, and was clearly excited to make this a complete collection. It includes running shoes, joggers, a windbreaker, tees, shorts, socks, and even a hat. Some have sustainable materials (75% recycled polyester — the same blend Nike was using for this year’s Olympic uniforms), most feature a multi-color design, all are just fresh as hell.
