Each week, our inbox runneth over with news of gear, apparel and tech releases from around the world. In this feature, we’ll parse through the best of them. Today: an indestructible speaker, new fall color collections from YETI and another brand’s take on hard seltzer.

J. Crew Ludlow Essential Slim Fit Suit

A new addition to the insanely popular Ludlow line of suiting, the “Essential” model is the most affordable version yet, coming in at around $480. It’s currently only available in this glen plaid pattern, which is nice, albeit a little strange. We haven’t gotten our hands on one yet, so we can’t comment on the quality, but it’s certainly worth a look.

YETI Fall 2019 Color Refresh

Unfortunately, summer is coming to an end. Fortunately, YETI is giving us three new color collections to ease us through our post-summer depressions and match our new fall wardrobes. Our favorite YETI products will now be available in colors River Green, Peak Purple and Clay. Each collection is inspired by the land around us — glacier-fed ravines in the Pacific Northwest, the Rocky Mountain range and “the deep, dusty orange hue of off-map adventures.”

Stance x Kid Cudi Collab

In honor of the 10th anniversary of Kid Cudi’s Man on the Moon album, Stance has put the classic record on a pair of socks. The collection includes three pairs of crew socks that feature artwork from the album and other designs inspired by the Man on the Moon himself.

Men’s SH/FT™ OutDry™ Mid Shoe

The Mid hiking sneaker is part of Columbia Sportswear’s new SH/FT Collection, an effort to give people shoes that can work as well in their daily lives in the city as weekend trips upstate. Because really, not everyone needs mountaineering boots. But like said boots, the Mid packs full-grain leather and a tough rubber outsole, and like your favorite sneakers it features a sock-like fit and energy return.

DemerBox DB2 – Indestructible Waterproof BT Speaker

Throw this baby out a window and you’ll still hear the crystal clear sound all the way down. Now we don’t recommend tossing your expensive speakers out windows unless it’s as indestructible as the DemerBox. Built with Bluetooth sound technology and a hard Pelican case, you can play your music just about anywhere. It also has 50+ hours of battery life, dry internal storage and a USB port to charge all your other devices. Bonus: you can pair up to six Demerboxes at a time for optimal surround sound — and for optimal pissing off your neighbors.

Patagonia Recycled Black Hole Bags

10 million plastic bottles are in this season of Patagonia’s Black Hole bags. Each bag in the collection, we’re talking totes, duffels, backpacks, even fanny packs, are water-resistant, super durable and most importantly, a symbol of your undying love for our dying planet.

Allbirds Wool and Tree Runners

Comfy, unbranded sneakers, now in fall appropriate colors. You’ll be the envy of your soon-to-fail startup.

The Apple Card

The Apple Card is finally here and it’s going to tell us everything we don’t want to know — like when our bills need to be paid and how much money we’ve wasted on overpriced coffee. But unlike other cards that give you points for your spending habits, the Apple Card has Daily Cash — a reward system that’ll give you cashback on Apple purchase, with every Apple pay transaction and anytime you use your physical, shiny Apple card. Honestly, it doesn’t sound like a bad system as long as you have an extremely difficult passcode to crack.

Buck Mason Moss Vintage Canvas Walk Short

Thursday x Nothing New Collection

Thursday Boot Company makes footwear at the intersection of affordability, durability and style. For some at InsideHook (namely, the person writing this blurb), they make the go-to pair. But while they’ve ventured into jackets, they’ve never made a sneaker … until now. The limited-edition high-tops and low-tops are a collaboration with Nothing New (actually a side project of two Thursday employees) with the mission being to make eco-friendly sneakers that don’t “look eco-friendly.” 5.6 plastic bottles go into each pair, but bet you couldn’t tell.

Mu-so Qb 2nd Generation Speaker

Mu-so Qb 2nd Generation is the latest addition to the award-winning Mu-so wireless music system. The speaker will connect to all your streaming services, Bluetooth and you can even hard-wire your internet connection via the included Ethernet port. Plus it just looks really good on your bookshelf.

Two Roads Brewing Craft Hard Seltzer

There’s a hard seltzer craze if you didn’t already know, and everyone wants a piece, including Two Roads Brewing Co. How will they differentiate themselves from an already crowded spiked seltzer market? By using 100% real fruit instead of extracts and flavorings. Two Roads will launch a 6-pack variety pack with three flavors, Raspberry, Grapefruit and Cranberry Lime.
