Take the road less traveled … and live there. Because Winnebago just shook up the camper game.
No more towing your all-terrain vehicle behind your RV (sorry Jeep). Winnebago’s new 4×4 camper, the Revel, provides all the luxuries of home with the capability of going off-road if needed.
Built on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter platform, the adventure vehicle packs 3.0-liter turbo-diesel with 325 lb.-ft. of torque through an on-demand 4WD mode. Plus, it’s integrated with a handy hill-descent control system for maximum safety and control.
And once you and the family are situated on a mountaintop of your choosing, it’ll be high time for the interior amenities to shine.
Inside you’re working with an “all-in-one wet bath” with cassette toilet, a fully electric galley with refrigerator, a kitchen lined with aluminum, locking cabinets and a pull-out dinette space that can be stowed away and converted into extra sleep space.
In the fun feature department, the Revel also has a “gear garage,” where you can access extra storage area via power-lifting the bed. As one might expect, the rig comes equipped with a standard solar system and plenty of roof mounts for kayaks and mountain bikes and misbehaving children. We joke.
But seriously, for around $135,000, the Revel is the ultimate go-off-the-grid and stay-off-the-grid ride. Head on over to Winnebago for more details.
