Does In-Flight Entertainment Get Any Better Than a Full-Blown Comedy Fest?

Broad City' star Abbi Jacobson is taking her jokes to the sky

Not a lot of funny with airlines these days.

Virgin Atlantic opens to change that. Their just-announced #LiveFromVirgin Comedy Festival features six comedians on their flights performing “live” on social media, to celebrate VA’s launch of fleetwide WiFi.

Hosted with Broad City’s Abbi Jacobson, the full lineup will be announced via Virgin’s social channels in the coming days. The sets, as they are, will be tweets and Instagram Stories from the comedians via their airline seats — they’ll all be flying from London to one of six different U.S. destinations.

Virgin is the first European airline to offer WiFi on its entire fleet, starting for $5.99 per hour. But if you’re on the ground, you can just follow along for free — and chime in if you use the fest’s hashtag (“Hey Abby, what’s the deal with airline food?”)

#LiveFromVirgin takes place on September 28th.
