Find out at Saturday’s Crest Fest, the kick-off celebration for the Crest Hardware Art Show, which showcases original art crafted from nuts, bolts, wire, and other handy detritus.

A family-friendly, day-long celebration with DJ’s and live music — Hard Nips, King Cut, Pitchblak Brass Band, more — Crest Fest features works inspired by (and crafted from) the wares at Crest True Value Hardware, a family-run institution in Williamsburg that annually turns its space into a gallery for neighborhood artists.
The Fest is free, and attendees receive a treasure-esque map of the show and are left to wander the aisles and outdoor garden in search of an eight-foot-tall screwdriver, alien saw blades, or a beady-eyed rodent comprised entirely of steel wool.
Grilled grub will be available courtesy of renowned butcher shop The Meat Hook, along with beer and wine, plus face-painting and games for kids.
And while you’re there, you can pick up that socket set you’ve been meaning to get — because if anything, the human condition is a fixer-upper.
