If you’ve wondered whether Meghan Markle’s life after stepping back from the royal family might involve a return to television, wonder no longer. Page Six is reporting that Markle is set to join stylist (and friend of Markle’s) Jessica Mulroney on several episodes of Mulroney’s forthcoming Netflix series I Do, Redo.
What, you might ask, is I Do, Redo? A Town & Country article from last October refers to it as focusing on couples “who didn’t have a perfect big day” for whom Mulroney will “plan a ‘re-do’ wedding.”
At the time, Mulroney said in a press release that the show aimed “to make a significant difference in the lives of our chosen couples whose first weddings did not go as planned due to tragic circumstances.”
According to Page Six, Markle will make multiple guest appearances on the new show. Other than that, details are scarce:
Her guest spots will be “sporadic,” according to the source, who would not say if Markle will be paid.
I Do, Redo is set to air sometime this year. Markle’s last regular gig on television was on the series Suits, which wrapped up its 9-season run late last year. Page Six’s article suggests Markle is currently seeking an agent; based on that, it seems likely that these reality show appearances will be the beginning of a much larger return to the film and television industry.
