Dan Auerbach‘s been a busy man. Besides fronting the Grammy-winning blues rock two-piece the Black Keys and putting out his own solo work, Auerbach’s also produced a diverse range of artists, including Dr. John, the Pretenders, and Lana Del Rey.
He’s now prepping the launch of his second solo record, Waiting on a Song, which is set to hit a digital (or physical) record store near you on June 2.
The 10-song set is the first release on Auerbach’s own label, Easy Eye Sound, and features co-writing credits from legendary country/folk singer John Prine and guitar work from Dire Straits’ axeman Mark Knopfler.
Listen to the album’s first single, “Shine on Me,” which features Knopfler’s unforgettable tone-age and dropped Thursday.
