Wealth Solutions, a.k.a. the minds that gifted the world with the sharpest executive office pen, have now taken time and made it worth toasting.
Wth the help of Swiss watchmaker Louis Moinet, Wealth Solutions has produced the “Whisky Watch,” a one-of-a-kind luxury timepiece that includes a droplet of the world’s oldest whiskey inside it. The watch itself comes in two varieties: 18-karat rose gold (limited to just 10) and steel (40 available). The whiskey capsule is positioned at 3 p.m. on the watch face—a not-so-subtle nudge towards an eventual—or whenever you want—happy hour.
The trapped spirit is from a 155-year-old bottle of Old Vatted Glenlivet 1862. It’s actually not from Wealth Solutions’ vast private collection of rare spirits, but rather that of Sukhinder Singh, a famous British collector of rare alcoholic beverages and owner of The Whisky Exchange, who opened the bottle specifically for the project. The liquor was painstakingly vetted to make sure it was as advertised.
This is the third watch in a series that Wealth Solutions has released, including the “Cognac Watch,” which includes a droplet of the world’s oldest cognac (Gautier 1762); and the Rum Watch, which features a droplet of the world’s oldest rum (Harewood 1780).
Unveiling the unique timepiece at last week’s Singapore Yacht Show, the Whiskey Watch is limited to just 50 timepieces. The watch retails for $45,000.
