Bill Murray Is Opening a Caddyshack Restaurant, Because of Course He Is

Eat, drink and be Murray

Good news from the Heartland: former greenskeeper, comedian and Academy Award nominee Bill Murray and his five brothers are about to become restaurateurs in their home state of Illinois.

In a sequel that’s hopefully on par or better than its theatrical equivalent, Bill Murray and his brothers announced plans to open a golf-themed bar called — you  guessed it — Caddyshack, in Rosemont, Illinois, The Daily Herald reported.

A sister establishment to the Murray Bros. Caddyshack bar the brothers already own in St. Augistine, Florida, the new 11,000-square-foot space is located in the Crowne Plaza Hotel near O’Hare Airport and an agreement to lease the location has been reached. Details have to be finalized, but we’re suddenly optimistic about 2017 in light of these developments.

With the slogan “Eat, Drink and Be Murray,” the St. Augustine location already serves up Windy City favorites like Italian beefs and Chicago-style dogs. We’re guessing that the dress code for both spots is comfy-casual, and probably can be selected from Murray’s recently released line of golf clothes.
