A Bandersnatch is a bloodthirsty creature which first appeared in 1872 in Lewis Carroll’s Through the Looking-Glass.
It also appears to be the title of a forthcoming Black Mirror movie which should be dropping on the streaming service as early as December 28.

Described as “mind-bending, offbeat, cerebral, and dark” on its Netflix listing, the feature-length film is called Black Mirror: Bandersnatch and it may be the service’s long-rumored choose-your-own-adventure project.
“It seems possible that Bandersnatch might be the choose-your-own-adventure Black Mirror story that the streaming service teased in a Bloomberg feature earlier this fall. The Bloomberg write-up referred to the upcoming interactive TV experiment as a special episode from season five that was due out by the end of the year,” according to Vice. “Since this is the only thing coming from Black Mirror in 2018 that we know of, it stands to reason that we’ll be picking our own depressing Bandersnatch ending or whatever.”
The plot for the film remains a mystery, but there have been several clues that it will be set in the 1980s (like the lengthy Black Mirror episode “San Junipero”) and may have something to do with a failed video game.

The movie could also be the way that Netflix introduces the fifth season of Black Mirror, which is shot and ready to roll and should be dropping sooner rather than later.
