He wasn't wearing a mask on a flight. Now a social media battle ensues.

Not all heroes wear masks?

Former Navy SEAL Robert O’Neill, who claims to be the soldier who shot and killed Osama bin Laden during a 2011 raid, is reportedly banned from Delta for not wearing a mask while on a flight.

The problem started when O’Neill tweeted a picture of himself onboard a Delta flight without a mask and used the caption, “I’m not a p—-” (the tweet was later deleted, although O’Neill claims his wife took it down, not him.)

While Delta has said they are investigating the incident, O’Neill claims he’s been banned from the airline, which requires use of a mask when onboard.

“Part of every customer’s commitment prior to traveling on Delta is the requirement to acknowledge our updated travel policies, which includes wearing a mask,” as Delta spokesperson Anthony Black told Business Insider. “Failure to comply with our mask-wearing mandate can result in losing the ability to fly Delta in the future.”

Putting aside his past service to the country, O’Neill is a frequent Fox News commentator and has posted several more times on Twitter regarding the incident, along with reposts of information doubting the severity of the coronavirus pandemic (in the past day, he’s also tagged Joe Biden wondering why he hasn’t heard from him regarding the incident and called out Jeb Bush as “her” for not supporting Q-Anon).

This exchange (and the comments that follow) pretty much sums up the whole situation, which is devolving into a petty social media battle. How’s this? Thank you for keeping us safe … and please continue to do so by wearing a mask.
