The search for Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell, continues, even after a reports surfaced yesterday that the socialite had been found.

On Wednesday, the Daily Mail reported that Maxwell, Epstein’s ex-girlfriend and rumored “madame” accused of recruiting underage girls for the sex offender, had been found holing up in a seaside town in Massachusetts. According to the report, the former British socialite was staying with her 43-year-old tech CEO boyfriend, Scott Borgerson, in a colonial mansion in Manchester-by-the-Sea. Borgerson had reportedly been seen walking Maxwell’s dog both there and in Boston, where his investment management firm, Cargometrics, is located.

Following the report that Maxwell had been found, however, Borgerson told the New York Post that Maxwell was not living in his home and denied the two were romantically involved. “I am not dating Ghislaine, I’m home alone with my cat,” he told the outlet, adding that he had been traveling abroad and no one had been in his home. The tech CEO reportedly arrived home late Wednesday night, where he was met by a police escort. “I have no idea about the #MeToo movement and Jeffrey Epstein. It’s not a normal day to have to get a police escort home,” he said. Borgerson claimed he had “no idea” where Maxwell is. “Never trust the internet,” he added.

In the wake of Epstein’s death, authorities have turned more attention on Maxwell and other Epstein accomplices. Maxwell has been accused of enabling the billionaire pedophile’s exploits by recruiting and threatening victims. According to the Post, at least two women who have accused Epstein of sexual abuse sued Maxwell back in 2015. On Wednesday, another Epstein victim filed a lawsuit against the pedophile’s estate and his accomplices, which, according to The Cut, presumably includes Maxwell.
