Aziz Ansari has made his first statements since an accusation of sexual misconduct surfaced this weekend. In an article for babe, Ansari’s accuser said he continually tried to pressure her into sex after she repeatedly tried to communicate her discomfort. In Ansari’s statement, he said that after going on a date, he and the woman “ended up engaging in sexual activity, which by all indications was completely consensual.” He also said that she texted him the next day saying that he had made her uncomfortable, after which Ansari “took her words to heart and responded privately after taking the time to process what she had said.”
