No, Saturday’s SNL cold open wasn’t a rerun: Will Ferrell returned to the sketch comedy show that made him famous to reprise his impersonation of former President George W. Bush. Only this time, perhaps not surprisingly, the material was mostly focused on taking digs at the man currently occupying the Oval Office. He was also joined by current Saturday Night Live star Leslie Jones, as former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. In perhaps the cold open’s funniest line, Ferrell’s Bush mentions that both he and President Trump won their respective election while losing the popular vote. “Though, back in my day, we didn’t let Russians rig our elections,” he deadpanned. “We used the Supreme Court, like Americans.”
