The past few years have been rough for a lot of airlines. There was the headline-making news of David Dao being physically removed from a United flight last year. This year, a dog was put in an overhead bin and died (also on a United flight). Someone always loses a bag and the food itself is questionable. So TripAdvisor decided to help travelers figure out which airline to fly. They compiled the Traveler’s Choice Awards to recognize the best airlines in the world. TripAdvisor just revealed the 2018 winners of the Travelers’ Choice awards. To get these top 10, they used an algorithm that analyzed reviews and ratings submitted by travelers over a 12-month period on TripAdvisor Flights. The overall list contains 69 airlines and recognized the best airlines in seven regions across the globe. The winner? Singapore Airlines. Last year’s top airline, Emirates, fell to number three on this year’s list, and Air New Zealand, which was in fifth place last year, moved up to number two.
