When you are the child of a billionaire, you still go to school, go on vacation, date, have friends and eventually find families and careers of your own. But Time writes they’re day-to-day life is a little different from their middle class counterparts. Kids of billionaires go to secret schools, pursue expensive hobbies like riding horses or helping run your parents’ charity organization.
Time put together a list of what some of the kids of the world’s richest people experience:
Mark Cuban: Cuban has three kids — Alexis, Alyssa and Jake. They go to Disneyland, and Cuban and his wife instituted a technology curfew because it is hard to get them off their phones.
Mark Zuckerberg: Facebook’s founder and CEO has two young daughters. Facebook allows parental leave for mothers and fathers of newborns, so Zuckerberg took time off work in December to spend with his kids.
Elon Musk: Musk had six sons with his first wife Justine Wilson, and sadly, the couple lost their first child as an infant. Through in vitro fertilization, the couple had twins and then triplets. Griffin and Xavier were born in 2004, and Damien, Saxon, and Kai came two years later, writes Time. Musk enrolled his five sons in a secretive, experimental school he created.
Richard Branson: Virgin’s founder has two adult children from his second marriage, Holly and Sam. Holly was a medical school graduate and junior doctor when she joined her father’s organization and became a member of Virgin Group’s management team and chair of Virgin Unite. Sam is a member of Virgin Management and an active philanthropist as well. He founded a film production company called Sundog pictures.
Bill Gates: Gates has three children with wife Melinda: Jennifer, Rory and Phoebe. Jennifer is studying human biology as a senior at Stanford University. She is a accomplished horse rider. Gates purchased an entire street in Wellington, Florida at $37 million for Jennifer’s horse riding practice. The youngest children Phoebe is enrolled in private school in Seattle.
