Disney has dropped the trailer for its upcoming Solo: A Star Wars Story, giving the best glimpse yet at the next standalone installment of the Star Wars franchise. The trailer opens with Qi’Ra — played by Emilia Clarke of Game of Thrones — asking Han Solo, played by Alden Ehrenreich, if he’s after revenge, money or something else. The trailer goes on to show Han getting recruited for a job, saying he is both a driver and a flyer. Woody Harrelson plays Tobias Beckett, who tells Han that once he joins the team, he’s part of this life forever.
You also get to see the Millennium Falcon ad plenty of fights with Imperial troopers. Solo is similar to Rouge One, which came out in 2016. It is disconnected from the main Star Wars films like A New Hope, The Force Awakens and The Phantom Menace, but it tells a self-contained story within the larger world that fans already know. Solo follows the beginnings of one of franchise’s favorite characters, and shows us how he becomes the character we originally met in Mos Eisley Cantina. The movie hits theaters May 25.
