Smallville actress Allison Mack has been arrested for her alleged role in a notorious sex cult called Nxivm, Page Six reports. The actress was last seen chasing after Keith Raniere, the cult’s leader, as cops dragged him out of a villa in Mexico, where they had been hiding out, according to Page Six.
Mack, 35, is expected to appear in Brooklyn federal court on Friday. She played Chloe Sullivan on the hit superhero show. Page Six writes that she was recruited to Nxivm by fellow Smallville star Kristin Kreuk, though Kreuk ultimately left. She is listed on Raniere’s criminal complaint as “Co-Conspirator 1,” and according to the complaint, Mack was Raniere’s direct “slave” and had a sexual relationship with him. She also acted as a “master” to other slaves.
Mack allegedly lured women into the secret society within Nxivm known as “The Vow,” by convincing them it was a “women’s mentorship group” and then would make the women give her embarrassing photos and statements, federal prosecutors say. They also charge that Mack would order the “slaves” to have sex with Raniere and to pose naked for photos, “including on one occasion close-up pictures of their vaginas.”
