Peter Thiel is moving the bulk of his operations out of Silicon Valley, as he will soon bring Thiel Capital and Thiel Foundation to Los Angeles, according to the Wall Street Journal. The conservative billionaire has been extremely critical of Silicon Valley’s liberal culture, and his desire to escape that culture is apparently the biggest factor in his decision to relocate. Thiel remains a part of Facebook’s board, though he’s had a fraught year with the company, including a scuffle with fellow board member and Netflix CEO Reed Hastings over Thiel’s support for Donald Trump. As part of his move to Los Angeles, Thiel plans to start a right-wing media outlet, according to the Wall Street Journal.
