In April 2004, a 30-year-old Omarosa Manigault was just a few minutes away from appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! for the first time. Season one of Donald Trump’s The Apprentice had just ended and she had become a star. But Kimmel didn’t even have a chance to announce her name before Omarosa fled the building, afraid that the host would make her take a lie detector test, according to The Daily Beast.
“Oh, I’ve been thinking about that a lot lately,” Kimmel told The Daily Beast more than 14 years later.
“If there’s a tape of [Trump] using the ‘N-word,’ I think that’s a line in the sand—and maybe I’m wrong, I’m always wrong, so I’m going in with that caveat—but I think that’s a line in the sand that his fellow Republicans will not cross.” — Jimmy Kimmel https://t.co/DKcFuMwYty

“What happened was, my Uncle Frank lied about something,” Kimmel recalls, referring to the one-time fixture on his show who passed away several years ago. “And I thought it would be funny to give him a fake lie detector test on the air, something that he thought was real.”
But Omarosa saw the lie detector test and thought it was for her. So she stormed out and was “very angry,” according to Kimmel, and the show was left with no guest.
Omarosa has been making waves again during her publicity tour for her tell-all book, Unhinged, about her time in the White House, including claims that there is a tape where Trump can be heard using the “N-word.”
