“James Bond Origin” Comic Book Will Show 007’s Teenage Years During WWII

We will finally learn more about James Bond’s mysterious early life with James Bond Origin, arriving in September from Dynamite Entertainment and Ian Fleming Publications Ltd. Writer Jeff Parker and artist Bob Q will use the series to take readers back to 1941 when Bond was 17. He is seen as a restless student in Scotland who is all too eager to start making his mark on the world. But then, an old family friend coincides with the devastating Clydebank Blitz, which forces Bond to learn how to survive.

According to CBR.com, Dynamite acquired the James Bond license in 2014 and debuted the first series, Vargr, in 2015 from writer Warren Ellis and artist Jason Marsters. It was the first 007 comic in two decades.
