A self-styled “sex coach” who is currently behind bars at an immigration detention center in Bangkok claims to have detailed insider knowledge of Russian meddling in the U.S. election. Belarus-born Anastasia Vashukevich says that she wants to cooperate with U.S. investigators but that the U.S. government needs to grant her political asylum. Vashukevich claims she has proof of Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. election in the form of more than an hour of audio recordings and photos of meetings. The 21-year-old in at the Thai detention center because she was arrested in February in the Thai resort town of Pattaya while running so-called “sex training” sessions, according to CNN. Thai police say they are processing the paperwork for her eventual deportation for violating her visa. Vashukevich has the insider information about the U.S. election because she claims to be the former mistress of Russian billionaire Oleg Deripaska. She says she witnessed several meetings in 2016 and 2017 between Deripaska and at least three un-named Americans. Vashukevich has previously published footage from social media of a 2016 meeting on a private yacht between Deripaska and Russian deputy prime minister Sergey Prikhodko, during which the two men could be heard discussing Russia’s poor relationship with the United States, according to CNN. While in a police van on Wednesday, Vashukevich told The Associated Press that she fears for her life, and wants to exchange information on alleged Russian ties to U.S. President Donald Trump’s campaign for her own personal safety.
