There’s a new female fighter on the scene racking up wins and turning heads: Christina Hammer. She is the current WBO and WBC Middleweight Women’s World Champion.
The 26-year-old is from Dortmund, Germany, and has nine wins coming by knockout. She is also known outside the ring and is currently making a name for herself in fashion.
Hammer is sponsored by Anita, a lingerie, sports bra and swimwear brand. She chatted with Maxim in Detroit, where she was watching two-time Olympic gold medalist and potential future opponent Claressa Shields fight for the Super Middleweight Championship.
She told the media org that her uncle was a boxing trainer, and she started going to him when she was young. Her best punch is her left jab because “It’s sharp, and I have a long reach.” She believes her best fight to date was last November, which was a unification fight in Germany against Kali Reis. She picks Triple-G as her favorite boxer because he’s a knockout machine and they’re both from Kazakhstan.
She also told Maxim that she likes a polite guy with manners, and does not like guys who eat too fast. If you’re going to ask her out, plan something more than just dinner.
