Good art uses light to its advantage. British artist Bruce Munro, who specializes in large-scale installations, took this notion and ran with it. For the last several years, he’s been traveling around the world creating intricate webs of light bulbs with ever-changing colors. From deserts to gardens, Munro has taken his “Field of Light” installation to Australia; Mexico; the United Kingdom; and the United States (Arizona, Georgia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas). Take a look at one his installations in Bath, England, below. At the bottom of the piece, watch a video of Munro discussing his inspiration and his installation in Tennessee.
