Brad Pitt may have more money than a Lannister, but his attempt to win the ultimate Game of Thrones experience with the show’s biggest star, Emilia Clarke, was as successful as Lord Stannis Baratheon’s campaign for the Iron Throne.

The actor offered to pay $120,000 to watch an episode of the hit HBO fantasy series with Clarke but was foiled by a higher bid during a silent auction at Sean Penn’s annual gala to raise money for Haiti. Variety, which sent a reporter to the gala, provided the intriguing palace intrigue from the Milk Studios in Los Angeles on Saturday night. Clarke’s Game of Thrones co-star, Kit Harington, also volunteered to attend the charity screening.
