The future is now—at least for the sedan. Mercedes-Benz will be unveiling its super-sleek new “Concept A Sedan” at this coming Friday’s Shanghai Auto Show, which runs through April 28.
“Our Concept A Sedan shows that the time of creases is over,” said Gorden Wagener, Chief Design Officer Daimler AG, in a statement. What he means by that is that the show car is all about future-leaning design language and sleek proportions—something the automaker is hoping will resonate with future drivers.
Speaking of those proportions, the car measures about 180 feet-by-74 feet, with a height of about 58 feet, so a driver might feel like he’s in a coupe and compact car at the same time.
Special features of the Concept A Sedan include larger side windows, and headlamps that glow in a range of colors based on the time of day or outside weather conditions.
